And now, some wonderful news from our team at OHSU!

Dr. Evan Shereck

Just last week, Dr. Evan Shereck, Director of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, received 2 OHSU university-wide awards as an outstanding educator!

Dr. Shereck was selected as the recipient of the Dr. Edward J. Keenan Faculty Award for Distinguished Teaching of Medical Students. In order to be considered for this award, faculty members were required to submit nomination letters on behalf of their colleagues, which were then reviewed by a selection committee and judged based on the points they made about a candidate’s outstanding and sustained contributions to teaching medical students.
The medical school 3-month course that Dr. Shereck coordinates, “The Blood & Host Defense Block”, was selected by current 2nd year medical students as the recipient of the Outstanding Required Course in Foundations of Medicine Phase Award.

As a result of these awards, Dr. Shereck has been invited to participate in the OHSU School of Medicine Honors & Awards Ceremony at graduation this year. Congratulations!
