Dr. Linda Stork, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO) Division Head, offers this update for August:
The First-year Fellowship Program welcomed 2 new fellows – Mort Murry and Kelly Bell.

 Mort Murray

Formerly a nurse practitioner, Mort recently completed his doctorate (DNP) at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). Mort will work closely with Dr. Trisha Young, the head of our PHO sickle cell program, overseeing the transition program of our young patients with sickle cell anemia from pediatric-based care to patient-directed adult-based care.

 Kelly Bell

Kelly brings unique expertise to the newly created Nurse Manager position in the Doernbecher Blood and Cancer Program. She was formerly a pediatric oncology nurse for several years before joining our program. In her new role, Kelly will oversee the entire PHO clinical program at Doernbecher. Along with her nursing degree, Kelly received degrees in Public Health and Management. She is completing a Ph.D. program at OHSU/Portland State in Health Systems & Policy and will continue her studies along with her new full-time job.

We thank them both for their hard work as we push to end children’s cancer forever! Join our work with a donation today!
